Murray’s Fresh Fish is a specialist wholesale fishmonger supplying quality fish and seafood to many of London and the South East’s top restaurants and hotels. Since starting as a local weekend market stall in Battersea, selling the best of the catch from the South coast, we soon moved into providing line-caught species to some of the capital’s finest Michelin starred chefs. The excitement of supplying these restaurants and the buzz around how we sourced our catch resulted in us supplying a full range of species to caterers in and around London. Our challenge was to maintain the quality with a wide variety of fish. That was, and still is the mission of the business.
We now provide the finest catch direct from the coast, daily from our unit in Bermondsey, London. This location enables us to source the freshest fish from not only the South East but all parts of the UK, rather than relying on the catch of one location like many of our competitors.
We care about where our produce comes from, how it is sourced, and what that means to the environment and local communities that we work with. We take great care to procure the finest species that our shores provide resulting in a product that is premium, provenance-assured, sustainable and responsibly sourced. Lyme Bay Reserve
Lyme Bay Reserve provides us with daily landings from the local fishermen at Lyme Bay, which we then deliver to London chefs within 24 hours from boat to kitchen.
We work closely in partnership with Lyme Bay Fisheries and the Blue Marine Foundation, supporting their vision to achieve a well-managed Marine Reserve within the bay, benefiting fishermen, conservationists, and chefs alike. Lyme Bay Fisheries and Conservation Reserve implement best practice to protect the biodiversity of Lyme Bay, managing fish and shellfish stocks, and creating long-term benefits for coastal communities around the bay.
